The newly launched Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is available with five colour options.
Royal Enfield has finally ushered in its second 450 cc motorcycle with the new Guerrilla 450. Based on the same “Sherpa 450” platform as the Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla 450 is probably one of the funkiest-looking motorcycles in the manufacturer’s portfolio, as of yet.
Even styling-wise, the Guerrilla 450 might be a roadster, but couple those chunky 120/70- and 160/60-section tyres shod with radial dual-purpose specially made for it by Ceat – there’s a distinct hint of a scrambler as well in its overall aesthetic. Complimenting this mixed bag of beauty and brains are its five colour options, namely, Smoke, Playa Black, Gold Dip, Yellow Ribbon, and Brava Blue. So, what’s what? Let’s get on with it.
Starting with the most basic colour option called ‘Smoke’. This is the simplest of all the colour options available with the Guerrilla 450, with no vibrant graphic design. The Royal Enfield logo on the tank is in black, and the tank section looks simple with just the silvery/white colour. The Guerrilla badge on the side panel is the only funky design here. It’s part of the Analog variant, and if you prefer understated aesthetics, this is the colour for you.
Moving on, the Playa Black option, which is a three-tone colour option is where the funk starts to reckon from. The badging is in yellow, and the tank gets this tasty red, yellow and black colour combination that looks easy on the eyes and yet subtly creates a statement. Giving this easy-going colour option a chance to be the popular choice is the fact that it is available with the entry-level Analog and mid-Dash variant as well.
Besides the shared Playa Black option, the mid-Dash variant is also available with this striking colour choice called Gold Dip. Wherein the fuel tank is painted in gold, and a bright red paint covers the front section of the tank – the resultant appeal is a bit of regalness, with a very subtle hint of sophistication, However, gold isn’t up to everyone's taste, and if you’re someone who has an affection for it, then this should be right up your alley. Having said that, gold on motorcycles is a rare colour option and we must say the Guerrilla 450 does manage to pull it off. So this Dhanteras you can skip the gold purchase and rather ride away in the ‘gold dip’.
The colour options available with the top Flash variant of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is where its funk persona is more evident. While the Brava Blue option with its blue front wheel and subframe, does stand out from the rest with an extremely tasteful aesthetic, making it more exclusive is the fact that the blue lines on the white tank are hand-masked, a typical Royal Enfield design trait that we have already seen with other bikes in the past. If you like flashy stuff, you can’t make a bolder statement than this shade.
On the other hand, the Yellow Ribbon colour option is where Royal Enfield’s design team went a bit crazy. The yellow, black, and violet design combo on the fuel tank feels like it has been lifted from a Marvel comic book. It's evocative, eye-catching, and funky. If you want something that will be an instant attention seeker, then look no further.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 with the first two colour options is priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), followed by the Gold Dip paint option available with the Dash variant costs ₹2.49 lakh. The top variant with the funky Brava Blue and Yellow Ribbon colour option will set you back by ₹2.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Royal Enfield has managed to price the bike quite competitively, and in this range, if you want to check out how it fares against the Triumph Speed 400, on paper, click the link here.
