Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - What Could Be The Right Price?

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is among the most eagerly awaited new motorcycle launches of 2023. Ever since the first prototype was spotted testing, enthusiasts have been anticipating its launch, which sadly kept on getting delayed. But now we have an official launch date as the new Himalayan 450 will make its India debut between October 30 and November 1, 2023.

While we know the launch date, what remains a mystery is the pricing of the upcoming motorcycle. The base Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 is priced at Rs 2.16 lakh and it goes up to Rs 2.28 lakh for the top-end variant. Given that the upgrades on the Himalayan 450 will be substantial the price premium will also be equally higher. Our guess is that the new Royal Enfield Himalayan could be priced between Rs 2.60 and Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

This way, it will be positioned above the Himalayan 411 but will also undercut the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, prices for which start at Rs 3.03 lakh (all prices mentioned above are ex-showroom). If Royal Enfield manages this estimated pricing, then it can give stiff competition to its competitors such as the KTM 390 Adventure X, BMW G 310 GS and the upcoming Triumph Scrambler 400 X.
