Royal Enfield Scram 440 Deliveries Delayed

It has been months since Royal Enfield launched the Scram 440 but there seems to be some engine issues, with regards to the magneto, that has seen deliveries of the same being put on pause. Royal Enfield has shared an official stance on the same:

“We are currently experiencing a delay in the deliveries of the Scram 440. Our teams are actively working to resolve the situation and expect to resume deliveries soon.”

A quick pop over on Reddit and a lot of customers and potential buyers have reported that there seems to be some component issue with regards to the magneto. It seemed that a few buyers faced their engines not starting up. This wasn’t so much of an issue mid ride but rather at start up.

We are also waiting to have a go on the Scram 440 as we feel it would be a neat all-rounder, a step up from the old Himalayan and Scram 411. The new 440 cc engine does have a bit more oomph but the inclusion of a sixth gear would improve its highway mannerisms. Plus, the presence of an alloy wheel variant would also make it more convenient for everyday use. Here’s more details on the bike.
