Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 Pre-Bookings Set New Record in India

Samsung has set a new record with the launch of its fifth-generation foldable devices, Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5. Within the first 28 hours of pre-booking availability, more than 100,000 consumers in India pre-booked the latest foldable smartphones. 

Samsung claims that compared to the fourth-generation Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4, the new foldables have received a staggering 1.7 times more pre-orders during the same initial timeframe. The pre-bookings for the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 began on July 27, and these devices are scheduled to be available for purchase from August 18.

In comparison, the two-week pre-booking phase for the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 that concluded on September 1, 2022, got more than 100,000 pre-bookings last year. 

The Galaxy Z Flip5 features a compact foldable design with a larger outer screen. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold5 offers a larger screen and robust performance, and it is also the thinnest and lightest foldable device by Samsung yet. Both devices are IPX8 certified and have Armor Aluminum frames with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. This year, the Flip 5 and Fold 5 hinge module has been strengthened with a dual rail structure that makes it more durable than the previous generation.

The pricing for these devices starts at ₹99,999 for the Galaxy Z Flip5 (8/256 GB) variant and ₹1,54,999 for the Galaxy Z Fold5 (12/256 GB) model.
