Samsung To Follow Pixel 8’s Lead With Galaxy S24 Series

While Google’s Pixel 8 series has been dubbed the smartest phone in the world, it is often Samsung that has taken the battle to Apple’s iPhone with the Galaxy S line. But Pixel is making some moves now and Galaxy has been stuttering for the last couple of years. But now Samsung is looking to breathe new life into the Galaxy S series by doubling down on AI with the next generation Galaxy S24 models which a Korean publication states will be the “smartest AI phones ever”.

S24 models will reportedly have LLM enabled AI baked into and will have capabilities similar to ChatGPT and Google’s Bard. The phone will be able to create content and stories based on a few keywords provided by the user.

Samsung has doubled down on generative AI which has been at the heart of the Exynos 2400 chipset which will be powering the S24 series in some markets. Speech to text will also be improved via AI.

Unfortunately, it seems like Samsung is again pursuing a wild goose chase with Bixby which will tout more human-like abilities and will have smarter conversations. Other than this, the phones will have more iterative improvements like better cameras and screens and the latest version of Android.

The S24 series is slated to be announced some time in January.
