Shelby Super Snake Is A Mustang With 830 Bhp

Shelby American, the fabled Mustang tuner, has revealed its latest work on the seventh-generation Mustang called the Super Snake. This high-performance muscle car gets a whole host of performance upgrades, giving it an astounding 830 bhp. Furthermore, the Super Snake is limited to just 250 units in the US and will also sold in limited numbers globally. 

The Shelby Super Snake’s 5.0-litre V8 is available in two avatars – a naturally aspirated version producing 480 bhp and a supercharged version producing 830 bhp. Both these versions are available with either a 6-speed manual with a short-throw shifter or a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

Other mechanical updates on the Super Snake include a specially tuned suspension that Shelby claims was tuned for sharper turn-ins. The exhaust, brakes and cooling have also been tuned. 

Shelby is offering the Super Snake in coupe and convertible body styles and both get a lot of cosmetic updates as well. At the front, it gets a slightly bigger grille with a more aggressive design as well as bigger intakes in the bumper. The Super Snake also gets 20-inch forged magnesium alloy wheels.

The Super Snake also gets an aluminium bonnet and carbon fibre front fenders in order to reduce weight. While the coupe gets a carbon fibre wing, the convertible gets a more subtle ducktail spoiler. 

Inside, the Super Snake gets Shelby-specific touches on the seats, floor mats, Cobra-themed puddle lamps, Super Snake door sill plates and a serialised dash plate. Other than these changes, it has the standard Mustang interior.
