Additionally, Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price cut for the E-Class and GLE.
Mercedes-Benz India has announced an update for the E-Class LWB to celebrate its first anniversary. The E-Class now comes with a new Verde Silver colour option that will be available on all three variants – E200, E220d, and E450. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz India has also announced the changes in prices of the E-Class and GLE, post the revision of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India.
The E-Class LWB is currently priced between ₹83 - 96.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and post the revision, customers will get a benefit of up to ₹6 lakh on the ex-showroom price of the luxury sedan. Similarly, the GLE 450, which is currently priced at ₹1.15 crore, will see a drop in price of ₹6 lakh, with the new effective price being ₹1.07 crore (ex-showroom, India).
Mercedes-Benz India showcased the E-Class in September 2024, with its prices being announced in October 2024. Since then, the latest generation of the E-Class has been a strong seller for the brand, with it being its best-selling model in the country and also in the segment it is offered in. Mercedes-Benz has been assembling the E-Class in India at its plant in Chakan, Pune, since 1995, starting with the W124 generation.
The new E-Class comes with loads of tech on board, including Mercedes-Benz’s Superscreen system that has three screens – a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and a third screen (12.3-inch) for the front passenger. It also comes with 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 17-speaker Burmester audio system and more.
At the 2025 TOTMs, the new E-Class won the Luxury Car of the Year award, beating its long-time rival, the BMW 5 Series, and other models like the BYD Seal, Porsche Panamera and more. The new E-Class is available with three powertrains – a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 201 bhp and 320 Nm, a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 194 bhp and 440 Nm, and a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 375 bhp and 500 Nm. All variants come with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
