Skoda Kushaq is the first SUV in its segment to offer a rear seat massage function.
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) marks a significant milestone as the first unit of the Kushaq facelift has been rolled out of its Chakan-based facility in Pune. Unveiled last month, prices for the new Skoda Kushaq are expected to be announced in March this year. Deliveries of the updated compact SUV will follow soon.
This is the first significant update for the Kushaq ever since it was first launched in 2021. The Skoda Kushaq also happens to be the first model to be launched under SAVWIPL’s India 2.0 strategy. Since then, the Kushaq has registered a wholesale volume of around 1 lakh units with nearly 89,000 units dispatched till April 2025.
Speaking on this occasion, Piyush Arora, Managing Director & CEO, SAVWIPL, said, “With the start of production, we reaffirm our long-term commitment to India and to positioning it as a strategic manufacturing hub. We are confident that the new Kushaq will continue to delight customers and increase its fanbase in India.”

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq gets quite a few styling and functional upgrades. In terms of features, the Skoda Kushaq gets some critical additions in the form of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an updated 10-inch infotainment system with a Google-powered AI companion, panoramic sunroof, front parking sensors, and massage function for rear seats. The 1.5-litre TSI models also get rear disc brakes now. Other notable features include 6-way electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation, auto climate control, and rain-sensing wipers.

In terms of powertrain, Skoda has carried forward the Kushaq’s existing turbo-petrol engine lineup, comprising a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI. The key update is the introduction of an 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission for the 1.0-litre engine, replacing the earlier 6-speed automatic unit.
