The flagship sedan is expected to launch on April 3 and if so it will be brought via the CBU route.
The Skoda Superb might make a comeback on April 3 in India, confirmed a leaked internal document that has gone viral on social media and has also been shared by other publications. Furthermore, only 100 units of the flagship sedan will arrive on our shores via the CBU route and each will cost ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom), were revealed.
Interestingly, Skoda will relaunch the previous B8 generation Superb in its top-spec Laurent & Klement trim, exclusively. So, it will be loaded to the brim with all the bells and whistles of luxury like 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, massage functions for the driver’s seat, wireless charging, a Canton sound system with 11 speakers, and 3-zone automatic climate control, etc to name a few inside the cabin.

Being a flagship sedan, Skoda leaves no stone unturned when delivering a comfortable and safe ride experience. Some noteworthy standard equipment on these notes includes dynamic chassis control, electronic differential lock, tyre pressure monitoring, park assist, 360-degree camera, and 9 airbags.
Mechanically, the Skoda Superb will carry over the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine option. The BSVI-II compliant stage is likely to produce the same 188 bhp and 320 Nm as before, transmitted to the front wheels via the same 7-speed DSG gearbox.

The launch of the Skoda Superb has been due for quite some time now. But it has been delayed on several occasions before. Moreover, when we tried to get in touch with a few Skoda dealers to confirm the Superb’s comeback, they couldn’t confirm the same. So, we're still keeping our fingers crossed. We're optimistic that this good news will stick.
But on a seperate note, the news comes shortly after Skoda confirmed that it is slated to launch its first subcompact SUV shortly. As part of its marketing strategy, the brand has been running a naming competition and the winner will be selected in a lucky draw. To find out the names that Skoda shortlisted, you can read about them here.
