Expect a new shade and a bunch of add-ons from the TVS Apache RR 310.
BMW Motorrad India is preparing to launch a special edition of its G 310 RR motorcycle, with production limited to just 310 units. The German manufacturer has released teasers indicating this exclusive variant will feature numbered tank badges to mark each individual unit.
The timing of this limited edition coincides with the lack of major updates to the standard G 310 RR in recent years. We expect the special variant may incorporate technological advances from the TVS Apache RR 310, which shares the same underlying platform.
TVS has significantly enhanced the Apache RR 310 over the past year, increasing engine output from 34 horsepower to 38 bhp at 9,800 rpm while boosting torque from 27.3 Nm to 29 Nm at 7,900 rpm. The Indian manufacturer also added advanced features, including a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, launch control, and cornering drag torque control systems.
However, BMW has not yet confirmed which of these performance and technology upgrades will be integrated into the G 310 RR limited edition. The company's teaser materials suggest the motorcycle will showcase a distinctive black, red, and blue colour scheme that echoes BMW's 'M' performance division styling, similar to the M 1000 RR superbike.
Beyond the special paint treatment, the limited edition may adopt visual and aerodynamic enhancements from the updated Apache RR 310, potentially including fairing winglets, a transparent clutch cover, and redesigned alloy wheels.
The current BMW G 310 RR retails for ₹3.05 lakh excluding showroom costs in Delhi. While the limited edition will command a premium over the standard model, potential GST rate changes for motorcycles under 350cc displacement could help moderate the final pricing impact for buyers. BMW Motorrad India is expected to reveal complete specifications and pricing details for the G 310 RR limited edition in the coming weeks.
