The Batman Edition Drifter helmet gets both ISI and DOT certification.
Indian helmet manufacturer Studds Accessories Ltd. has launched a special edition Batman-themed Drifter helmet in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products India. Priced at ₹2,995, the helmet comes with both ISI and DOT safety certifications, making it one of the most affordable helmets in the Indian market to meet both domestic and international safety standards.
The launch marks the brand’s entry into themed helmets in collaboration with global entertainment IPs, while also reinforcing its focus on rider safety and product innovation.
The new Studds Batman Edition Drifter helmet features an all-black base with contrasting graphics inspired by the popular DC character. The helmet also includes Batman’s caricature near the temple area, lending it a distinctive aesthetic appeal.
It is available in matte and gloss finishes, with seven colour variants: Black and blue, Yellow and grey, Red and grey, Gold and grey, Green and grey, Black and grey, and Silver and grey. Studds is offering the helmet in three sizes — Small, Medium, and large — across both online and offline platforms.
The full-face helmet features a high-impact outer shell and a regulated density EPS liner, which together aid in better shock absorption. It also gets a dual visor system and dynamic ventilation, designed to enhance rider comfort during long rides or in warm conditions.
While the helmet does not come with a double-D ring lock mechanism — often seen in track-focused helmets — it uses a quick-release chin strap, a feature preferred for ease of use in city and touring conditions.
Commenting on the launch, Sidharth Bhushan Khurana, Managing Director, Studds Accessories Ltd., said: “The new Drifter edition provides better performance, comfort, and a design that reflects the rider’s personality without compromising on safety. This marks the beginning of a broader program, paving the way for an exciting new range of helmets under the Studds and SMK brands, inspired by iconic DC Super Heroes.”
India is one of the largest two-wheeler markets in the world, yet helmet usage and safety standards have often lagged behind due to cost constraints and low consumer awareness. Affordable helmets that meet both ISI (India) and DOT (USA) certifications are rare, particularly in the ₹2,000–₹3,000 price segment.
With this launch, Studds not only brings a globally recognized character into riders' daily gear but also offers an affordable product that aligns with international safety norms. It signals a broader trend in the Indian helmet industry, where design, branding, and safety are now converging to offer better value to customers.
