Suzuki’s Kherki Dhaula plant in Gurugram rolls out the 1 millionth unit of this financial year
Suzuki announced a significant achievement with the production of its 1 millionth two-wheeler within the current financial year 2023-24 by rolling out a special Access 125. This remarkable milestone marks the full utilisation of the company's annual production capacity in less than a year, showcasing its strong growth and commitment to the Indian market.
The milestone unit rolling off the assembly line was a Suzuki Access, a popular scooter known for its fuel efficiency and performance. This accomplishment reflects the growing demand for Suzuki two-wheelers not only in India but also in overseas markets.
Commenting on this achievement Rajneesh Kumar Mehta, Executive Vice President, Production, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Achieving the production of one million units in less than a year is a remarkable accomplishment for Suzuki Motorcycle India. In order to keep up with the consistently increasing demand for Suzuki Two-Wheelers both from the domestic market and our overseas markets, we have gone beyond our original installed capacity of 1 Million Units per year. ”
Mr. Yasuyuki Ikeuchi, Executive Officer, Production, SMI, emphasized the company's dedication to quality. "I thank all our employees and business associates for their continuous support in enabling us to come up to our customer expectations both in terms of quantity and quality.”
Since its inception in February 2006, Suzuki has consistently expanded its presence in the Indian market, offering a diverse range of motorcycles and scooters. This production milestone signifies the company's continued success and its commitment to serving the needs of its ever-growing customer base.
