Suzuki Access 125 becomes the most affordable scooter in India to offer Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched a new ABS variant of the Access 125 at a price of ₹92,328 (ex-showroom). This makes it ₹1200 more expensive than the previous top-spec Ride Edition variant. The new Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is available in two trims — Ride Connect ABS and Ride Connect TFT ABS, the latter priced at ₹98,378 (ex-showroom).
Commenting on this launch, Kenichi Umeda - Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd, said, “With the addition of this ABS variant, we are expanding the range of choices within the Access family, enabling customers to select a variant that best aligns with their riding preferences. We remain committed to introducing new and relevant products that meet evolving customer expectations.”
With this update, the Access has become the first 125 cc scooter in the mass market to receive the ABS feature. Previously only premium scooters such as Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, TVS Ntorq 150, and Aprilia SR 175, came with this safety feature. The Access 125 ABS variants are available in six colour options namely Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green, Mat Aqua Silver and Pearl Shiny Beige.
For the unversed, ABS is a safety net that prevents the wheel from locking in emergency/panic braking situations. This is more common especially on slippery and wet surfaces during the monsoon.

Both new ABS variants of the Access 125 come with Suzuki’s Ride Connect system, Bluetooth connectivity for call alerts, SMS notifications and navigation assist. The top-spec variant further adds a coloured TFT console to the package. Powering the Suzuki Access 125 is a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.4 bhp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a CVT automatic transmission. Hardware also remains the same apart from the updated braking setup.
