At the 2025 Auto Expo, Suzuki ushered in the new iteration of the Access 125. The scooter now looks more premium, packs in a few more features, and also promises to be more practical than ever. All of which begs the question – Has the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 become better than the 2025 Honda Activa? Let’s find that out by comparing their respective specs:
Suzuki Access 125 vs Honda Activa 125: Engine
2025 Suzuki Access 125 | 2025 Honda Activa
Engine | 124 cc | 124 cc |
Power | 8.31 bhp @ 6500 rpm | 8.31 bhp @ 6,250 rpm |
Torque | 10.2 Nm @ 5,000 rpm | 10.5 Nm @ 5,000 rpm |
The 124 cc engines of both the Suzuki Access 125 and Activa 125 were updated earlier this year to comply with the latest emission norm, which have also affected the performance output of both. But the Activa 125 edges past the Access 125 by producing its peak power slightly earlier in the rev range. However, in real world conditions, these minute differences will not alter the performance by leaps and bounds, and both produce the same torque.
Suzuki Access 125 vs Honda Activa 125: Suspension And Brakes
2025 Suzuki Access 125 | 2025 Honda Activa
Front Suspension | Telescopic | Telescopic Hydraulic |
Rear Suspension | Swing arm-mounted single-shock absorber | 3-Step Adjustable Spring Loaded Hydraulic Monoshock |
Front Brake | Drum/Disc | Disc |
Rear Brake | Drum | Drum |
Front Tyre | 90/90 - 12 | 90/90-12 |
Rear Tyre | 90/100 – 10 | 90/100-10
|
Both The Honda Activa 125 and Access 125 are built around an underbone architecture, suspended by telescopic fork at the front. But at the rear, Suzuki goes for a more non-conventional swingarm-mounted rear shock absorber, which in turn helps save some kerb weight. The Honda Activa 125 gets a monoshock with three levels of preload adjustability. The brakes are also the same in both the scooters, with Suzuki even giving customers an all-drum brake option, which helps keep the price under check. However, Honda doesn’t even entertain this combination with any of the Activa 125 variants.
Suzuki Access 125 vs Honda Activa 125: Dimension
2025 Suzuki Access 125 | 2025 Honda Activa
Length | 1835 mm | 1850 mm |
Width | 680-690 mm | 707 mm |
Height | 1155 mm | 1170 mm |
Wheelbase | 1260 mm | 1260 mm |
Kerb Weight | 106-105 kg | 110 - 109 kg |
Underseat Storage Space | NA | NA |
Seat Length | 856 mm | 712 mm |
Fuel Tank | 5.3-litre | 5.3-litre |
For 2025, Suzuki claims that it has stretched the length of the Access 125’s seat, making it longer than before. This translates to more space for both the rider and pillion to move around, however, the Japanese brand did not specify by how much the underseat storage space has also increased. Either way, the new 2025 Access 125 is smaller and shorter than the Honda Activa 125, which in turn helps its case to be the lighter scooter of the two. Lastly, the Suzuki Access 125 is now on par with the Activa 125 with a similarly sized fuel tank at 5.3-litres.
Suzuki Access 125 vs Honda Activa 125: Features
Both the Suzuki Access 125 and the Honda Activa 125 received significant gains in terms of features this year. The Activa 125 has gained a brand new 4.2-inch TFT cluster that now supports smartphone connectivity via Honda’s RoadSync Duo app. This in turn gets your turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS and notification alerts, plus access to music playback controls.
On the other hand, the Suzuki Access 125 retains the same LCD console from before that supports Bluetooth connectivity. But for 2025 it will also display information like weather and WhatsApp alerts, along with ETA updates and Phone battery level.
Beyond these differences, both scooters get all LED lighting, and an USB Type-C charging port onboard to keep your mobile devices juiced up at all times.
Suzuki Access 125 vs Honda Activa 125: Price And Verdict
The Suzuki Access 125 is available in three variants – Standard Drum Edition, Standard Disc Drum and a Ride Connect Edition, priced at ₹81,700, ₹88,200, and ₹93,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. The new Honda Activa 125 is available in just two variants – DLX and H-Smart, priced at ₹94,422 and ₹97,146 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
So from a value for money point of view, it's the new 2025 Suzuki Access 125 here that makes more sense.
