E-Access to enter the market before the other Suzuki electric scooter that was spotted testing prior.
Suzuki is planning to introduce an electric version of its Access scooter. Anticipated for the third quarter of 2024 (July-September), this launch positions Suzuki alongside established brands like Honda which is also planning an electric version of their ever popular Honda Activa. The upcoming Access electric scooter is expected to retain the familiar design of the Access 125. There could be some changes which are seen with the electric design language. While specifics about the motor, battery capacity, and range haven't been officially revealed, we believe the Suzuki will give the access a range above 100km. This range above 100 km seems to work in the favour of gaining trust among people that the scooter would not leave them stranded in the middle of their commutes. The focus is likely to be on providing a practical choice that can be used for daily commutes as well as is practical to be a family scooter. The option of battery swapping is something that would be appreciated but there is no confirmation on that.

In terms of features, affordability is expected to be a key factor. The Suzuki e-Access will likely come equipped with basic features like a digital display and a USB charging port, keeping the price competitive. This approach may differ from some electric scooters that have high-tech features. However, core features familiar to Access riders, such as ample under-seat storage and a comfortable seat, are expected to be carried over to the electric version.

While the electric Access is stealing the spotlight now, Suzuki was initially expected to launch the of their Burgman Electric which has been showcased internationally.

Prototypes of the e-Burgman were even spotted undergoing testing in India but it seems Suzuki wants to make its electric scooter debut with its most popular scooter brand in India.
