Employees across India are looking forward to receiving gifts and bonuses from their companies as Diwali approaches. To celebrate the holiday season, businesses generally provide gift cards, incentives, sweets, and apparel. Nonetheless, one amazing gesture comes from a Tamil Nadu tea estate. This tea estate in Kotagiri town, Nilgiri region, made news by giving its staff Royal Enfield bikes as a hefty Diwali bonus, setting it aside from the customary festive offers.
P. Sivakumar, the 190-acre tea estate's owner, had traditionally given his employees Diwali gifts of household appliances and cash bonuses. He decided to up the ante this year by surprising his employees with bikes worth more than ₹ 2 lakh each. These loyal employees, numbering approximately 627, have been with the tea estate for more than two decades. Among others, he gave bikes to his manager, supervisor, storekeeper, cashier, field staff, and drivers.

A video of tea estate employees receiving their bike keys has gone viral on social media. After handing over the keys, the 42-year-old estate owner joined his staff for a joy ride. Naturally, the employees were overjoyed, and they conveyed their gratitude to the owner for making this year's Diwali truly special.
"We never expected such an extraordinary gift," said one employee. He went on to say that the owner had about 15 Royal Enfield motorcycles on display for us to choose from. It's a rare and incredible gesture, and we consider ourselves lucky to have received it. We appreciate his selflessness.
This year, Diwali falls on November 12. Gifting employees around Diwali is a fairly typical sight in India, and the occurrence mentioned above is a perfectly heartwarming manner of fulfilling people's dreams.
