Tata Passenger Electric Mobility revealed their new pure-electric platform that will underpin these five upcoming models.

Kicking off the new year with brand new products, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility unveiled the Punch.ev and its new pure electric architecture ‘acti.ev’.  This scalable modular platform will also underpin future models that TPEM will be launching in the next 18 months. The models include the likes of Currv.ev, Harrier.ev, and Safari.ev.

During the launch, Anand Kulkarni, TPEM’s Chief Products Officer, Head Of HV Programs, and Custom service emphasised that this new architecture has been meticulously engineered to pack in dense battery pack that will be good for 300-600 km of range. So, we can safely expect that these future models will put range anxiety behind us.

TPEM also highlighted that the ‘acti.ev’ architecture will be compatible with rear-wheel, front-wheel, and all-wheel drivetrain capabilities. It will also support DC and AC fast charging capabilities up to 150 kW. Safety will be paramount and TPEM and the architecture will comply with both GNCAP and BNCAP protocols. In addition to that, the new architecture will also be ADAS compatible with Level 2+ functionalities as well.

However, it should be noted here that the ‘acti.ev’ architecture will not be available with the Tata Avinya. For it will be built on Jaguar-Land Rover’s Gen3 EMA architecture.

Bookings for the Tata Punch.ev has already commenced and interested customers can do so for a token amount of ₹21,000 at there nearest TPEM showroom or online.
