The 2023 Tata Nexon EV will be called Tata Nexon.ev.
Tata Motors will launch the facelifted Tata Nexon EV in India on September 14, 2023, and unveil the car on September 7, 2023. The 2023 Tata Nexon EV follows the design updates from the 2023 Tata Nexon facelift, revealed recently, as well as the feature upgrades from the variants it will be based on. Moreover, in line with the company’s new brand identity, the 2023 Tata Nexon EV will be called Tata Nexon.ev, similar to the Tata Tiago.ev and the Tata Tigor.ev.
As compared to the earlier model, the Tata Nexon.ev will feature its signature design traits while following several styling cues from its ICE counterpart. For example, the 2023 Tata Nexon.ev will sport a different front grille to help differentiate it from the version it is based on. Similarly, the LED DRLs will also vary, while other elements from the ICE Nexon will be carried over. The muscular and modern look of the new Nexon will also be seen quite evidently on the Nexon.ev facelift. The profile will remain largely unchanged however, expect a new alloy design on the 16-inch wheels. The Nexon.ev badge will do duty on the lower section of the rear end of the electric SUV.
Inside, a similar setup will be carried over from the new Nexon.ev albeit the blue highlights across the cabin to help differentiate it from the ICE version. What would be interesting to see is whether the company introduces the new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo. The rest of the features include the new 10.25-inch infotainment system with a JBL sound system. A 7-inch driver’s display will be fully digital but could get new graphics. We also expect Tata to make the electric sunroof a standard feature on the 2023 Tata Nexon.ev.
At the heart, the 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift will remain unchanged from the current model. The 30.2 kWh and 40.5 kWh battery pack options with Prime and Max models will continue along with their respective motor outputs. The claimed range will also likely remain unchanged from its current 312 km with Prime and 453 km with Max.
