The Indian scooter scenario has expanded and matured quite well to have some good options for everyone. 2025 has been particularly noteworthy for that same reason, wherein several manufacturers were quite enthusiastic giving us some nice, dynamic and some radically different models. Here are the ones that created the loudest statement in the first six months of 2025:

Suzuki Access 125 (Starts From ₹81,700, Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

2025 Suzuki Access 125 Ride Connect TFT Edition

The Suzuki Access 125 has been the “King of 125 cc Scooters”. The latest iteration of the Access 125 builds on the same solid foundation to give us a more well-rounded, comfortable and practical option that now looks more mature and sharper than before. Practicality has also increased wherein the underseat storage has gone up slightly, plus the fuel tank capacity has also increased. As for the 125 cc engine, it’s the same fun, frugal and zippy mill as before. But while trying to comply with the latest emission norms, performance has dropped slightly. The Suzuki Access 125 remains a formidable family scooter option.

Hero Xoom 160 (Launched At ₹1.49 Lakh, Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

The Hero Xoom 160 is one of the most radical-looking scooters from Hero MotoCorp yet. Its tall, looks rugged, rides on 14-inch wheels shod with chunky 120/70- and 140/60- section block pattern tyres, and is packed to the brim with all the essential features that should work well in tandem when touring. While deliveries for the Hero Xoom 160 are yet to commence, so we can’t say for sure how the scooter rides. But it is powered by a 156 cc, liquid-cooled, engine (another first from Hero MotoCorp) that produces 14.6 bhp and 14 Nm – so our hopes are riding quite high on this one. It’s one of the most powerful scooters one can buy for under ₹2 lakhs and it could spawn a new wave of performance scooters hitting the Indian market.

Hero Xoom 125R (Starts From ₹86,900, Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

Another new scooter from Hero MotoCorp to launch this year was the Xoom 125R. Unlike the ADV-ish Xoom 160, the Xoom 125R goes for a sporty, edgy, and modern design language that easily makes the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125 and Avenis 125 look generic. Hero claims that Xoom 125R is the fastest accelerating scooter in the segment wherein it can hit 0-60 kmph quicker than the TVS Ntorq 125. Is this a false claim or can the Hero actually achieve this? Check out our review video below and find out:

Honda X-ADV (Priced At ₹11.90 Lakh, Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

And since we are on the topic of aggressive-looking and dynamically different scooters, how can we forget the Honda X-ADV. It’s not only the most expensive scooter on sale in India now, but also one of the most powerful and radical options in the market. It's a 745 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 57.79 bhp and 69 Nm, plus with ride-by-wire throttle, you can experience this performance in three different aspects. And if the Xoom 160 looks ADV-ish, the X-ADV is a proper adventure scooter that rides on 17-/15-inch wheels shod wire-spoke tubeless tyres. And if you want to tour on this scooter, Honda even offers cruise control as standard to cover those never-ending highways without the need for constant throttle inputs.

Honda Activa e: (Priced From ₹1.17 Lakh, Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

Honda Activa e Review (7).jpg

Carrying forward the “Activa” badge is not an easy feat and to do that in an electric avatar makes an uphill task even more difficult. But that’s exactly what the new Honda Activa e: has been entrusted with. While its modern and sleek design looks quite futuristic and impressive – the slew of connectivity features on offer here further helps make matters more convincing than the regular Activa. Further making the Activa e: more enticing is its Battery As A Service subscription model, which is expected to make your ownership experience more affordable. But is that the case? Find it out in our review video below:
