The Tork Kratos-R Urban trim is the more affordable, entry-level electric motorcycle from the Pune-based EV maker.
Tork Motors unveiled an entry-level addition to its lineup - the Urban trim for the Kratos-R electric motorcycle at Rs. 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The company says the new variant is tailored for urban riders who seek both performance and range without compromising on their daily commuting needs. The top-spec version costs Rs. 1.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
Kapil Shelke, Founder & CEO, TORK Motors, said, “The new ‘Urban’ trim fulfils the requirements of an urban commuter who wants uncompromised performance and range at a very accessible price point and the features that he needs on an everyday basis. While this makes a compelling case for itself, the customers will also have flexibility to upgrade within a fixed time frame.”
The Urban trim, built upon the foundation of the existing Kratos-R, is equipped with features optimised for city commutes. Focused on providing city riding experience, this variant includes the core features of the Kratos-R and a home charging setup. Notably, the electric motorcycle features a dedicated 'City' ride mode, capable of reaching a top speed of 70 kmph and offering a range exceeding 100 km.
In terms of design and powertrain, the motorcycle retains its original aesthetics and powerplant. It will be offered in three vibrant colours- - Streaky Red, Oceanic Blue, and Midnight Black. On the technological front, the motorcycle incorporates a 4.0 kWh Li-ion battery pack (IP 67 certified), driving an innovative 'Axial Flux' motor. This motor, recently patented, boasts an impressive efficiency rating of 96 per cent.
Initial purchasers will be granted access to the complete suite of features for a period of 30 days. These features encompass multi-ride modes (Eco, City & Sports), reverse mode, fast charging, Bluetooth-enabled live dash, in-app navigation, vehicle locator, anti-theft system, geofencing, charging point locator, over-the-air updates, ride analytics, track mode analytics, smart analytics, and guide-me-home lights. For Rs. 20,000, customers can opt to unlock these features within six months of their purchase.
