The Fortuner Leader edition gets some cosmetic enhancement and a few key features.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has revealed a new variant of its popular SUV, the Fortuner. The Fortuner Leader Edition gets some cosmetic enhancements and a few key features. TKM has opened the bookings for the Fortuner Leader Edition for a token amount of ₹50,000.
The Fortuner Leader Edition gets three dual-tone colour options – Super White, Platinum Pearl White and Silver Metallic with all three getting a black roof. It also gets dual-tone seat covers and blacked-out alloy wheels. New features include a tyre pressure monitoring system and a wireless charger. TKM is also offering some dealer-level accessories such as extensions on the front and rear bumpers.

Under the hood, the Fortuner Leader Edition only gets a 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 201 bhp and up to 500 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Currently, the Fortuner is priced between ₹33.43 lakh and ₹51.44 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Fortuner diesel 4x2 retails between ₹35.93 lakh and ₹38.21 lakh and expect the Leader Edition to be priced at a slight premium. Furthermore, TKM also mentioned that it has sold more than 2.51 lakh units of the Fortuner since it was launched in 2009.
