Toyota Halts Bookings For Rumion CNG

Toyota has halted bookings for the Rumion CNG, citing ‘overwhelming response’. The company said in a statement that the unexpected demand has resulted in a longer waiting period for the CNG variants. This surge in demand has necessitated it to temporarily halt bookings of the CNG option, only to avoid customer inconvenience due to longer waiting period.

The Rumion MPV is priced between Rs. 10.29 to 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom India). To put things into perspective the Rumion is about Rs. 1.65 lakh more expensive than the Ertiga when compared to the base variant and Rs. 60,000 dearer compared to the top-end variant.

Powering the Toyota Rumion is the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine sourced from Maruti. This engine generates 103 bhp and 137 Nm of torque. It comes with the option of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Only the S variant of the Rumion comes in CNG and is priced at Rs. 11.24 lakh (ex-showroom India)
