1 Triumph Daytona 660 launced

The Triumph Daytona 660 was launched last month for ₹9.72 lakh.

Deliveries for the Triumph Daytona 660 have finally commenced across India, with the initial bikes getting delivered in Mumbai. Priced at ₹9.72 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the British supersport bike will compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Aprilia RS 660, and the Suzuki GSX-8R.

The Daytona 660 shares its powertrain with its siblings, the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. However, it’s the only bike among the three which produces its peak power at a sky-high 11,250 rpm. The inline-three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine features a 240-degree firing order and delivers 93.70 bhp and 69 Nm torque at 8,250 rpm – a notable increase from the Trident 660's output of 80 bhp and 64 Nm. Both motorcycles utilise a six-speed transmission.

The motorcycle comes equipped with Showa suspension, featuring upside-down Big Piston fork with 110 mm travel and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 130mm travel. Braking duties are handled by dual 310mm front discs with four-piston calipers and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper, complemented by standard dual-channel ABS.

Triumph has incorporated three riding modes – Road, Rain, and Sport – allowing riders to adjust power delivery and traction control settings. The motorcycle requires servicing every 16,000 km or annually and is available in Satin Granite, Sapphire Black, and Carnival Red colour options.
