The new Triumph Daytona 660 is the third model in the 660 cc platform.
It was just last week that Triumph revived its legendary badge, the Daytona 660. Although the model has been unveiled for global markets, the same is expected to launch in India as well in a couple of months. Deliveries for the same will also begin shortly thereafter.
However, unofficial bookings for the upcoming sports bike have already commenced across Triumph showrooms in India. The upcoming Daytona 660 can be reserved unofficially for a token amount of ₹ 50,000.
Triumph has not disclosed the official ex-showroom price of the new Daytona 660 for the Indian market. However, our best guess is that it will be priced upwards of ₹ 9 lakh. In this price range, the 2024 Triumph Daytona will compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Honda CBR650R.
The Daytona 660 features the same 660cc inline-triple engine, but it is in a more potent state of tune, producing 95 bhp and 69 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike comes with traction control and offers three ride modes: Sport, Road, and Rain.
Built on the 660 platform, which also underpins the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660, the Daytona 660 boasts of a non-adjustable Showa USD fork and a preload-adjustable Showa monoshock. Adding to its dynamic character, the Daytona 660 comes fitted with sportier Michelin Power 6 tyres, a change from the sport-touring Michelin Road 5 found on the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660, making it a compelling choice for riders seeking both performance and comfort.
