With unofficial bookings open since January, the Triumph Daytona 660 has taken an unexpectedly long time to launch in India.
Triumph Motorcycles is finally set to launch its highly anticipated supersport bike, the Daytona 660, in India on August 29. The bike was initially scheduled to launch earlier this year, but it was delayed due to various reasons, leaving enthusiasts waiting for months.
Bookings for the Daytona 660 had commenced unofficially across Triumph showrooms in India in January with a token amount of ₹ 50,000. This led us to speculate the launch to happen in the next few months.

In terms of design, the Triumph Daytona 660 embodies the classic supersport aesthetic, featuring a full fairing, twin LED headlights, and an aggressive upswept tail section. Despite its aggressive design, the positioning of the handlebars and footpegs is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable riding position, making it less aggressive than it appears.

Triumph Daytona 660 is built on the Trident 660 r platform. It has the more powerful iteration of the inline-triple engine. The bike produces 95 bhp at 11,250rpm and 69Nm at 8,250rpm, with 80% of the torque available at 3,125rpm, making it more versatile depending on the intent of the rider.. The bike features a tubular steel perimeter frame, suspended by a 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD fork and a Showa monoshock with preload adjustment. In terms of features, it gets three ride modes - Rain, Road, and Sport - and standard dual-channel ABS.
