The Apache RTR 310 price ranges between Rs 2.43 lakh and 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom).
TVS Motor Company has launched the Apache RTR 310 for a starting price of Rs 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The RTR 310 is powered by a 313 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This motor produces 35 bhp @ 9,700 rpm and 28.7 Nm of torque @ 6,650 rpm. The starting price of Rs 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom) is for the Arsenal Black paint job and comes without a quickshifter. The Apache RTR 310 with the quickshifter in Arsenal Black is priced at Rs 2.58 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Yellow Fury paint scheme costs Rs 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom) The Apache RTR 310 sits on a lightweight aluminum frame to keep the weight down and assist the handling characteristics of the bike, which is a first for the homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer. Moreover, TVS claims a top speed of 150 kmph and a 0 to 60 kmph time of 2.81 seconds.
The TVS RTR 310 comes with low-mounted twin LED headlamps, backed by sleek LED turn indicators, are the focal point of the Apache RTR 310's appearance. Add to that the substantial fuel tank and edgy design on the tank shrouds give the RTR 310 an aggressive stance. Furthermore, the RTR 310 comes with USD front forks and a mono-shock system. Notably, the braking system includes both front and rear discs, as well as a dual-channel ABS for further safety. The Apache RTR 310 rides on freshly designed 17-inch wheels wrapped in gripping Michelin tyres, which incidentally are dual compound tyres.
TVS has equipped the RTR 310 with goodies like 5 riding modes and 5-inch TFT display that not only allows for the one’s mobile to be connected but also one’s GoPro. In a world first, the Apache RTR 310 comes with heated and cooled seats. There’s also Race-Tuned Dynamic Stability Control (RT-DSC) , bi-directional quick shifter, Race-Tuned Linear Stability Control (RT-LSC) and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). That’s not all, the TVS Apache RTR 310 also comes with dynamic twin LED headlamps which change the intensity of the light with the increase in speed.
As expected the Apache RTR 310 also comes with TVS’ Build-to-Order (BTO) option, which allows for various components such as suspension, footpegs and handlebars to be personalised to the customer’s exact needs. It includes two options: Dynamic Kit (Rs 18,000) and Dynamic Pro Kit (Rs 22,000). The Dynamic Kit includes adjustable suspension, TPMS and a brass coated drive chain. The Dynamic Pro Kit further includes RT-DSC and climate control seats. If that’s not enough, customers can churn out an extra Rs 10,000 for the Sepang Blue Colour, as well. To add to this, the Apache RTR 310 also gets cornering ABS, cornering cruise control, cornering traction control, adjustable suspension and wheelie control.
The TVS Apache RTR 310 competes against powerful rivals such as the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R, adding a new dimension to the competitive category. Other motorcycles RTR series include the 160, 160 4V, 180 and 200 4V. TVS has also announced that there will be 12 accessories specific to the Apache RTR 310. The Apache series was first introduced back in 2005 and with the latest addition to its stable, TVS certainly looks poised to take on the competition with renewed vigour.
