Unlike other African markets, TVS will only have two of its Apaches on sale in the country, along with the Ntorq 125 and the Raider 125.
Further expanding its global presence in newer territories TVS Motor Company has now entered Morocco. The Hosur-based bikemaker has debuted in the country in collaboration with MotorSports Maroc, and will be operating under the retail banner, Hindi Motors. The brand will not have its entire portfolio on sale there just yet. Instead it will just retail the TVS Apache RTR 160 and 200, along with the TVS Raider 125 and the TVS Ntorq 125.
This new market entry comes after we saw TVS debut in Italy last year. As for Morocco, TVS will retail the three bikes and one scooter with a warranty of up to 5 years. Retail sales have begun from January 15 onwards.
“The entry into the Moroccan market represents a new chapter in the field of mobility. The effective mobility solutions provided by TVS are now part of the growth and progress of Morocco,” exclaimed Omar Messouidi, Managing Director, Hindi Motors.
“TVSM is an established global leader and the second largest two-wheeler brand in Africa. Our vehicles are everyday companion to more than 58 million users across the globe. Mobility is an important lever for economic and societal progress, and we are privileged to have the opportunity to serve customers in Morocco,” pointed out Rahul Nayak, VP, International Business, TVS Motor Company.
As for the products, both the TVS Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 200 4V are sporty bikes, which come loaded to the brim with features, courtesy TVS SmartXonnect connectivity feature. While the Apache RTR 160 still retains that iconic design, the Apache RTR 200 4V boasts a nice radical design which looks aggressive and modern.
On the other hand, the TVS Raider 125 is one of the most fun-to-ride 125 cc commuters from the brand yet. Its light, agile, accelerates nicely, and yet is quite frugal for the kind of performance it offers. Similarly, the TVS NTorq 125 feels peppy and sporty to ride too. Both these 125 cc offerings support TVS’ SmartXonnect, which further gets you features like turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts and much more. So, all in all TVS has brought quite the exciting arsenal to debut in a brand new market, which should help the brand to solidify its presence and reputation, nicely.
