TVS has taken 72 months for the iQube to register a total domestic sales of 800,000 units.
Indian buyers are slowly but gradually opening up to the idea of owning an electric vehicle (EV), especially an electric two-wheeler. The electric scooter segment in particular has started to flourish in the last couple of years in the country. One of the major sellers in this space has been the TVS iQube.
Launched in January 2020, TVS has now sold more than 80,000 units of the iQube in India. This milestone was reached in December 2025, when the company dispatched 35,177 iQube units to dealerships nationwide, marking the fourth consecutive month in which shipments to TVS dealers across India exceeded 30,000 units. December was the second best month for iQube in FY2026 after November when 38,191 units of the e-scooter were sold across the country.
According to SIAM, the Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer has sold over 824,181 units till date. FY2025 was the best-selling year for TVS iQube with 272,605 units of the iQube sold, contributing 15 percent to overall TVS scooter sales. However, in FY2026, the iQube is expected to perform better, breaching the 3,00,000 unit sales for the first time in a financial year. TVS has already dispatched 253,130 units of the iQube between April and December 2025.

During the same period of the previous fiscal year, TVS has recorded 197,870 units thus resulting in a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 28 percent. The iQube’s robust sales performance has helped TVS secure a 29 percent share of the scooter market during April–December 2025, up from 25 percent a year earlier and the highest it has achieved to date. TVS’ scooter portfolio, which also comprises the petrol-powered Jupiter, NTorq and Zest, recorded sales of 1,424,183 units, representing a 26 percent YoY increase (April–December 2024: 1,132,390 units).

The boost in sales of the TVS iQube in recent months can be largely attributed to the reduction of GST and abolition of cess that came into effect from September 2025. Post the new GST regime, prices of the iQube were slashed by up to Rs 26,000 depending on the variant. TVS has also constantly provided small updates to the iQube lineup in order to be competitive in the growing electric two-wheeler market.
