Dealers have also confirmed that deliveries for the new Aprilia Tuono 457 might start by February-end or early March onwards.

A few Aprilia dealerships across the country have unofficially started to accept bookings for the Tuono 457. While we are still awaiting official confirmation about the naked sports bike’s launch date — few dealerships are accepting bookings based on the premise that the Tuono 457 will launch in the country by February. Furthermore, the dealerships also confirmed that deliveries for the bike will start by February-end or early March. The unofficial booking amount is just ₹10,000, and customers who are booking now will be given first preference when the bike launches in the country.

Interestingly, the unofficial bookings have only commenced across a few dealerships in North India. When we contacted dealerships in Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune, none of them confirmed any instances of commencing bookings, though. So, we would suggest you reach out to your nearest Aprilia showroom and verify the same. Furthermore, we would also advise you to wait until the official price of the Aprilia Tuono 457, after which you can get a test ride and then book the bike.

This is the most unique looking Tuono as of yet.

As for what the Tuono 457 is? It’s basically the Aprilia RS 457 without the fairing. The headlight cluster is unique and doesn’t adhere with either the Tuono 660 or the Tuono 125 – so on that note, this is a very different-looking Tuono. Beyond the front section, the rest of the bike looks similar to the RS 457. So, it employs the same hardware components as seen on its fully-faired sibling. Even the 457 cc, parallel-twin engine produces the same 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm, and it will come paired with a 6-speed gearbox, along with the option of a bi-directional quickshifter.

Like the RS 457, Aprilia will also manufacture the Tuono 457 in India at its Baramati facility. So, we expect the bike to be reasonably priced. Given Aprilia retails the RS 457 starting from ₹4.10 lakh, the Tuono 457 should be slightly more affordable in comparison. So, our expectation is somewhere in the range of ₹3.90 - ₹4 lakh (ex-showroom).
