As the Indian car market continues to evolve rapidly, June 2025 is set to witness a diverse mix of car and SUV launches. These span across electric mobility, luxury performance, and value-focused updates. From Tata’s EV SUV to Mercedes-AMG’s limited edition G-Wagon, and an affordable Renault facelift, here’s a closer look at the key launches expected this month — and why they matter to Indian consumers.

Tata Harrier EV

Launch Date: June 3, 2025

Expected Price: ₹25–₹30 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

Tata Motors is set to expand its EV portfolio with the launch of the all-electric Harrier SUV on June 3, 2025. Built on Tata’s acti.ev Gen 2 EV architecture— which evolves from the ICE-based Omega Arc platform — the Harrier EV is expected to feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, fast-charging capability, and a real-world driving range of around 450- 500 km.

The SUV will carry over the Harrier’s design while incorporating EV-specific touches like a closed grille, aero-efficient wheels, and distinctive lighting elements. Premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, next-gen infotainment, and Level 2 ADAS are likely to be offered. 

With an expected price tag of ₹25–₹30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier EV will compete against models like the Hyundai Creta Electric, the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara, the MG ZS EV, and the yet-to-be-launched Kia Carens Clavis EV.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition

Launch Date: June 12

Expected Price: ₹4 crore+

Mercedes-Benz is launching a limited-run AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition in India, expected to get a unique interior colour scheme, along with specialised styling elements specific to this edition.

Mechanically, it retains the potent 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 577 bhp and 850 Nm, capable of propelling this luxury SUV with authority both on and off-road.

Expected to be priced north of ₹4 crore, the AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition will appeal to collectors and elite buyers looking for exclusivity in a proven high-performance SUV. The limited production numbers, potentially as low as 25 units for India.

Renault Kiger Facelift

Expected Launch Date: June 21

Expected Price: ₹6.5–₹10.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

In the mass-market segment, Renault is preparing to launch a mid-cycle facelift of the Kiger subcompact SUV. Scheduled for release in the third week of June, the updated Kiger will bring refreshed exterior styling, including a redesigned grille, LED DRLs, and new alloy wheels. Inside, Renault is expected to offer a larger touchscreen, updated dashboard trims, and improved connectivity options such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Kiger will receive a mid-cycle facelift later this year. 

While the engine lineup remains unchanged, with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol options continuing, the facelift is expected to improve safety with standard ESC and more airbags on mid and top variants. 

With prices likely between ₹6.5–₹10.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Kiger facelift aims to boost Renault’s standing in the highly competitive sub-4 metre SUV segment, going up against refreshed rivals like the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 / GT Pro

Launch Date: June 27

Expected Price: ₹3 crore+

Also launching later this month are the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and the more hardcore GT Pro variant. The GT 63 is likely to be powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine tuned for over 592 bhp, with the Pro version potentially including enhancements like stiffer suspension, track-spec brakes, and lightweight components. With a 0–100 kmph sprint time under 3.5 seconds and advanced aerodynamics, these models target serious enthusiasts.

Prices are expected to fall in the ₹2.8–₹3.5 crore bracket, making them niche but aspirational products for performance car buyers in India.
