April is shaping up to be a thrilling month with a diverse range of two-wheelers scheduled to hit the Indian market. Here's a glimpse of what to expect:

2

Ather Rizta

Ather is leading the charge with the launch of its much-anticipated family scooter – the Rizta – on April 6. It is expected to have a humongous seat that surpasses popular petrol and EV options. Durability is another highlight, with the Rizta designed to conquer water crossings (up to 400mm). The battery has been drop tested from a height of 40 feet. Built on a new platform, the Rizta might prioritise extended range and efficiency over pure performance compared to its sporty sibling: the 450X.

Triumph Tiger 900

After showcasing it at India Bike Week 2023, the updated 2024 Tiger 900 is expected to arrive in India this month. This update brings a more powerful engine (pumping out 107 bhp and 90 Nm of torque), adjustable seat height for enhanced comfort, and a revised design featuring a sleek split LED headlamp and an upswept exhaust. We think the asking price of the various trims of the Tiger 900 could be between ₹14 lakh and ₹16.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

4

Triumph Daytona 660

And that’s not the only Triumph bike we expect to see in April. The British bike maker could also be gearing up to launch the Daytona 660. Borrowing design inspiration from its legendary predecessor, the Daytona 660 offers a sporty look while maintaining practicality for everyday use. The 660cc engine promises a thrilling ride with 95 bhp and 69 Nm of power. This middleweight sportbike is expected to carry an ex-showroom price tag of around ₹10 lakh.

Bajaj Pulsar N250 Update

And finally, Bajaj is refreshing its Pulsar N250 with a more sophisticated suspension setup, which is likely borrowed from the NS200. While the engine remains untouched, the addition of a USD fork promises a smoother ride for both commuters and spirited riders. Plus, electronic rider aids like traction control and ABS modes are also likely to be added to the quarter litre Pulsar’s arsenal. New colour options are also anticipated to add some visual excitement, and a potential price increase of around ₹8,000 (from the current ₹1.50 lakh ex-showroom Delhi) is expected.
