TVS Motor Company has launched the updated Apache RTR 160 4V at ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). The 2024 Apache gets dual-channel ABS, a larger rear disc and smartphone connectivity.
While the Apache RTR 160 4V already had single-channel ABS, the updated model has dual-channel ABS and a 240 mm rear disc, a 40 mm increase from the current model. The Apache also gets three riding modes – Urban, Rain and Sport and comes with TVS’ SmartXonnect smartphone connectivity suite with voice assist as standard.
Under the skin, the updated model continues with the same 159.7 cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 17.3 bhp and 14.73 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The hardware on the motorcycle consists of telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Cosmetically, the bike remains unchanged but is only offered in one colour option – Lightning Blue.
Bookings for the new Apache RTR 160 4V are underway at the company’s showrooms and deliveries are expected to commence early next year. The updated model continues to rival the likes of the Hero Xtreme 160R and Honda CB Hornet 2.0.
