The C40 Recharge will be launched in August and deliveries will begin from September
Volvo Auto India has unveiled the C40 Recharge electric SUV in the country but prices are yet to be announced. The company plans to announce the price of the C40 Recharge in August this year but bookings for the car have begun on Volvo's official website already. With deliveries set to begin from September, the Volvo C40 Recharge, will be the company's second all-electric SUV to hit Indian shores.
The C40 Recharge will slot above the XC40 Recharge in India and expect the car to be priced above Rs. 65 lakh. The car is built on the same CMA platform as the XC40 Recharge and on the design front there are a lot of similarities too. But the design of the C40 Recharge changes from the C-pillar onwards as it takes the form of a coupe SUV.
While globally the C40 Recharge is available with a single and dual motor options, India will get the dual motor AWD option. It is the 78 kW battery capacity which comes to India and it has 402 bhp to offer and there's 660 Nm of torque as well.
0-100 kmph is done in just 4.7 seconds and the company says that it will do 530 km on a single charge. Fast charging from 10-80% takes just 27 minutes. There are a lot of smart features on offer as well. The C40 Recharge gets Google in-built which takes care of all the connectivity features on the car.
Inside, the Volvo C40 Recharge looks similar to the XC40 Recharge. The company has received a very strong demand for the XC40 Recharge and it feels that the demand will continue for the C40 Recharge as well.
