Maruti Suzuki Dzire (CNG Variants) New Prices after the GST Cut
The Maruti Dzire is also offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit, giving buyers a greener and more economical alternative. The Dzire CNG has gained popularity among high-mileage users, fleet operators, and eco-conscious families.
Under the revised GST structure, the Dzire's CNG trims have also seen a price drop, making the sedan’s CNG option even more affordable.
Dzire Variant | Old Price (Ex-showroom) | New Price (Ex-showroom) | Reduction | Reduction (%) |
TOUR S CNG 1.2L 5MT | ₹7,77,001 | ₹7,10,745 | ₹66,256 | 8.53 |
VXI CNG 1.2L 5MT | ₹8,79,000 | ₹8,04,047 | ₹74,953 | 8.53 |
ZXI CNG 1.2L 5MT | ₹9,89,000 | ₹9,04,667 | ₹84,333 | 8.53 |
This strengthens the Dzire’s position as one of the most versatile offerings in the compact sedan segment.
Why have the prices been reduced for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire?
The reduction is a direct outcome of the government’s decision to rationalise GST rates on small cars. Earlier, compact cars like the Dzire were taxed at 28% GST plus cess, which inflated their ex-showroom prices.
With the implementation of GST 2.0, these cars are taxed at a flat 18% with no cess, bringing substantial relief to buyers.
Category | Old GST | Old Cess | Old Total Tax | New GST | New Total Tax | Change in Tax |
Small cars (under 4m, ≤1,200cc petrol/CNG) | 28% | 1% | 29% | 18% | 18% | 11% lower than before |
This policy change aims to make entry-level and compact cars more affordable, reviving demand in a segment that has been under pressure due to rising costs in recent years.
When are the new rates applicable?
The revised GST structure is applicable from September 22, 2025. Buyers purchasing or taking delivery of a Maruti Suzuki Dzire after this date will benefit from the reduced ex-showroom prices.
The Maruti Dzire has been a compelling option in the compact sedan segment. Now, with the price drop, you can get a price reduction of up to ₹86,000, depending on the variant.
Disclaimer: The new prices mentioned in this article are tentative and based on the revised GST rates applicable from 22 September 2025. Final ex-showroom prices may vary slightly as manufacturers and dealerships update their pricing structures in line with the new taxation policy.
