Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (Petrol Variants) New Prices after the GST Cut
The Ertiga’s 1.5-litre petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions, is one of the most reliable and fuel-efficient powertrains in its class. With the GST revision, the entire petrol line-up from base to top trims sees a slight reduction in prices.
Ertiga Variant | Old Price (Ex-showroom) | New Price (Ex-showroom) | Reduction | Reduction (%) |
TOUR M 1.5L 5MT | ₹10,17,500 | ₹9,82,414 | ₹35,086 | 3.45 |

ZXI+ 1.5L 6AT | ₹13,40,500 | ₹12,94,276 | ₹46,224 | 3.45 |
This reduction, though not massive, lowers the entry point for MPV buyers, making the Ertiga even more appealing against competitors such as the Kia Carens and Toyota Rumion.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (CNG Variants) New Prices after the GST Cut
One of the biggest selling points of the Ertiga is the availability of a factory-fitted CNG option. It combines the space and practicality of an MPV with the unbeatable running cost advantage of CNG fuel. For families that drive long distances and fleet users, the CNG variant remains the top choice.
With the GST revision, the Ertiga's CNG trims also enjoy a price cut, adding further value to its already cost-efficient proposition.
Ertiga Variant | Old Price (Ex-showroom) | New Price (Ex-showroom) | Reduction | Reduction (%) |
TOUR M CNG 1.5L 5MT | ₹11,12,499 | ₹10,74,137 | ₹38,362 | 3.45 |
VXI CNG 1.5L 5MT | ₹11,15,500 | ₹10,77,034 | ₹38,466 | 3.45 |
ZXI CNG 1.5L 5MT | ₹12,25,499 | ₹11,83,241 | ₹42,258 | 3.45 |
Why have the prices been reduced for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga?
The Ertiga belongs to the category of cars above 4 metres in length with larger engines (up to 1.5-litre), which earlier attracted one of the heaviest taxation slabs in the automobile industry. Until now, the total tax burden was 45% (28% GST + 17% cess).
With the new GST structure coming into effect, this slab has been replaced with a flat 40% tax and no cess.
Category | Old GST | Old Cess | Old Total Tax | New GST | New Total Tax | Change in Tax |
Mid-size cars (up to 1,500cc) | 28% | 17% | 45% | 40% | 40% | 5% lower than before |
While the tax cut is smaller than that for compact cars, it still results in a meaningful price drop that will benefit families and fleet operators looking for a spacious and affordable MPV.
When are the new rates applicable?
The revised GST structure for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and other cars in its segment is applicable from September 22, 2025. Any Ertiga invoiced or delivered after this date will reflect the reduced ex-showroom prices.
If you are considering buying the Maruti Ertiga, this is the right time to do so. Depending on the variant you buy, you can benefit from a price reduction of up to ₹46,000.
Disclaimer: The new prices mentioned in this article are tentative and based on the revised GST rates applicable from 22 September 2025. Final ex-showroom prices may vary slightly as manufacturers and dealerships update their pricing structures in line with the new taxation policy.
