The Tata Altroz has carved a strong niche in the premium hatchback segment, thanks to its 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, stylish design, and feature-rich cabin. Competing with the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza, the Altroz stands out with its choice of multiple powertrains, including petrol, diesel, and factory-fitted CNG.
With the introduction of the GST 2.0 reforms from September 22, 2025, the Altroz is set to become more affordable. The new system eliminates cess and applies a flat 18% GST rate for small cars under 4 metres, replacing the older GST + cess structure. This will result in a price cut across the Altroz lineup.
