Kia Carnival Dimensions

When considering a car's interior space, some key areas buyers consider are legroom, shoulder room, and headroom. The new Carnival offers ample space for passengers to stretch out and feel comfortable. There is plentiful leg, hip and shoulder room in the first and second rows, even for taller adults. 

The headroom is also good, allowing easy entry and exit from the Carnival. Second-row captain seats slide and recline, allowing passengers to customise their seating position. Even third-row passengers get decent rooms thanks to the Carnival's large and boxy design. Overall, the Carnival's interior dimensions make it one of the most spacious options in its class.

Boot Space  

Apart from seating space, luggage room capacity is crucial in an MPV. Here, too, the Carnival delivers well. With all three rows of seats in place, a good 540 litres of boot space is still available, which allows multiple large suitcases or bags to be accommodated with ease. 

By folding down the third and second rows when they are not occupied, a massive 2905 litres of storage space opens up. Whether it's airport runs or road trips, the Carnival can swallow up everyone's luggage with room to spare!  

Fuel Tank Capacity  

With fuel prices constantly rising, fuel efficiency and tank range have become vital considerations for car buyers. The new Kia Carnival offers a fuel storage capacity of 72 litres. 

Combined with the 2.2-litre diesel motor, which has improved efficiency levels compared to the previous model, this translates to a respectable highway range between refills. Whether one intends to eat up miles on road trips or run daily errands closer to home, the Carnival delivers flexibility and convenience.

Kia New Carnival External Dimensions

The latest version of the Kia Carnival is more significant than the previous model in India, which means it has more room inside for passengers and is more comfortable. The new design also looks more high-end, following Kia's latest style.

Length

When viewing the new Kia Carnival from the outside, one aspect that stands out is its considerable length. At 5155mm long, the new model has grown by 40 mm compared to the previous Carnival sold in India. 

This extended length gives the cabin a more spacious feel and allows greater legroom for passengers. Despite the growth in length, the new Carnival retains its manoeuvrability thanks to a similar width as before. 

Width 

Speaking of width, the new Carnival measures 1995mm across, which is identical to its predecessor. This consistent width results in well-balanced exterior proportions combined with the extended length. 

It allows the Carnival to have a stately road presence and nip through traffic. The unchanged width also means it can still fit into home garages or shopping mall parking spots for regular-sized family vehicles.  

Height

While length and width play a significant role in space, height has more influence on practicality. The new model is 1775mm high, enabling easy ingress and egress through its doors. With MPVs, the seats are often higher to allow passengers to enter and exit the cabin without crouching. 

This elevated seat height also results in a commanding view of the road from behind the wheel, making driving easier. The Carnival finds a good balance between providing headroom inside the cabin and maintaining a reasonable overall height.

Wheelbase  

The wheelbase—the distance between the front and rear axles—is a critical dimension determining cabin space. The longer the wheelbase, the more interior room for passengers. Kia has equipped the new Carnival with an extended wheelbase spanning 3090mm, a 30 mm increase over the previous India-spec model. 

The biggest beneficiaries of this enlarged wheelbase are the second and third-row occupants, who have more leg space to luxuriate. The stretched-out wheelbase also contributes to a smoother ride quality over rough sections. 

Ground Clearance

Sufficient clearance between the underside of the car and the road surface is a must to tackle Indian roads. Understanding this need, Kia designers have given the new Carnival ample ground clearance measuring up to 180 mm. 

Over bad stretches of roads, nasty speed breakers or steep driveways, those extra millimetres of underbody space prevent the Carnival from scraping its chin. Even with a full passenger load, the Carnival takes everything our roads throw at it in its stride, thanks to the thoughtful ground clearance.
