Driving Style: Acceleration and braking at high speeds consume much more energy than smooth, gradual driving. The higher the speed, the less the range, as the battery works harder to maintain higher speeds.

Driving Mode: Driving the Mercedes-Benz EQB in the ECO mode can significantly improve range. It optimises energy usage by limiting several performance features like acceleration power and air conditioning output. Use ECO mode whenever possible to maximise range by altering vehicle performance to prioritise efficiency over speed.

Weather Conditions: Extremely hot and cold temperatures severely affect the performance of a battery. This is most prominent with cold temperatures because it makes the battery less effective by consuming the most energy to warm up the cabin. On hot days, the battery gets used to air-condition the car, affecting the range.

Terrain: Driving over hills or mountains requires more energy, especially going uphill. Though the Mercedes Benz EQB's regenerative braking helps recover some energy during the downhill run, uphill trips can significantly lower the total range.

Load: The weight of an automobile influences the amount of energy it requires to move. For instance, a highly loaded car will consume much more energy than a lighter one. Consequently, carrying excess luggage or weight could significantly negatively affect the range of your EQB.

Speed: High-speed cruising, including highway driving, is one of the biggest factors that can reduce an electric vehicle's range. The faster the drives, the larger the share of energy consumed by aerodynamic drag. Any speed above a moderate, steady level will lose efficiency and lower range.

Tyres: Under-inflated tyres increase rolling resistance, making vehicles work harder and use more energy to maintain speed. Check regularly and maintain the desired tyre pressure to help reduce the energy consumed for driving, thus improving range.
