The Xiaomi SU7 currently has three variants, the SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max. Now the Chinese manufacturer has previewed a fourth model which will be the most hardcore and fastest iteration of its first-ever car, the SU7 Ultra. However, this is still in its prototype stage and a production version is expected to debut next year.

The SU7 Ultra is a lightweight, aerodynamically focused, and extremely powerful version of Xiaomi’s electric sedan. It is claimed to churn out an insane 1526 bhp, 823 bhp more than the SU7 Max. For perspective, the Bugatti Chiron produces 1479 bhp, while the Rimac Nevera produces 1888 bhp. The SU7 Ultra gets three electric motors where two of them produce 570 bhp and the third produces 386 bhp.

All this power allows the SU7 Ultra prototype to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 1.97 seconds and it has a claimed top speed of over 350 kmph. It can do 0-200 kmph in 5.96 seconds and 0-300 kmph in 15.07 seconds. Xiaomi also has plans to lap the Nurburgring race track in Germany with the prototype version in October this year and with the production version in 2025.

Xiaomi has not only given the SU7 Ultra insane amounts of power but has also worked on increasing the downforce and reducing weight. It claims the SU7 Ultra can produce up to 2145 kg of downforce and it only weighs around 1900 kg. This reduction of weight has been achieved by constructing all body panels using carbon fibre. Xiaomi claims it has reduced more than 500 kg from the SU7.

The SU7 Ultra prototype also has radical aerodynamic elements. It has a massive front splitter, air vents on the bonnet, race-car-like scooped-out front wheel arches, a thick side skirt, a big rear diffuser and a giant rear wing.
