The new variant of the Honda Activa receives cosmetic updates
Honda has introduced a limited edition variant of the highly popular Activa scooter. The Honda Activa Limited Edition scooter has been priced at Rs 80,734, whereas the Smart edition will set you back by Rs 82,734 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for the scooter have commenced across all Honda dealerships but Honda hasn’t mentioned how many units will be made available.
The changes made to the Activa 6G Limited Edition are only on the cosmetic front and it features black chrome elements, a first for the Honda Activa. Even the 3D Activa emblem gets the black chrome finish and there are new graphics too. It’s available in two new shades - Pearl Siren Blue and Matte Steels Black Metallic. Also, the DLX variant now features alloy wheels as opposed to steel wheels, which is a nice touch. The Honda Activa 6G Limited Edition is powered by the same 110 cc engine as seen on the older scooter which develops 7.8 bhp and 8.90 Nm of torque.
Commenting on the launch, Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “Activa has revolutionised the Indian two-wheeler segment and delighted millions of Indians over the last two decades. Maintaining popularity across all age groups, it is India’s most loved scooter. We are confident that the launch of this new Limited Edition Activa will further excite our customers, especially the new generation buyers.” Honda is also offering a 10-year warranty package for the new Activa in which 3 years is standard and customers can pay for the additional 7-years. The Honda Activa 6G competes with the TVS Jupiter, Yamaha Fascino and the Hero Maestro.
