2023

The next generation of Baby Dukes might go on sale in India next month.

KTM fanboys rejoice as the Austrian bikemaker has confirmed that it will unveil the 2023 390 Duke on August 21. This will be the third iteration of the hugely popular motorcycle, which last received a major update in 2017. Test mules of the 2023 KTM 390 Duke have been spotted undergoing testing both in India and abroad. KTM will unveil the 2023 125 Duke, 250 Duke, and 390 Duke together.

2023

The new generation 390 Duke will undergo major cosmetic changes as the styling is even more aggressive. The bike features a redesigned LED headlight that looks very different and so are the chunky fuel tank shrouds. The 2023 Duke will be much bigger in size than its predecessor and it will also feature an underbelly exhaust muffler as seen on the OG 390 Duke. The TFT instrument console too has been redesigned and we’re hopeful that it gets navigation.

2023

On the mechanical front, there are rumours that engine displacement has been hiked to 390-398cc. The single-cylinder, liquid-cooled power plant could extract around 45 bhp and around 39 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and a bidirectional quick-shifter.

2023

Apart from this, the new KTM 390 Duke is also running a revised frame with an all-new subframe that should help improve its handling dynamics further. Suspension hardware will also be updated as we expect the new Duke to get an adjustable suspension. Stopping power will also be increased courtesy of larger rotors and new brake pads and cornering ABS might also be added.

2023

The 2023 KTM 390 Duke will go on sale in India by September 2023 and all these changes will bring with it a premium price tag as well. We expect it to be priced around Rs 3.30-3.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The new 390 Duke will rival the likes of the BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300F and the upcoming TVS Apache RTR 310, and the Yamaha MT-03. We will have to see whether the 2023 KTM 125 Duke and the 250 Duke will also make their India debut next month or whether they will be launched at a later date.
