Electric vehicle volumes proved a particular bright spot, with combined domestic and international EV sales reaching 8,385 units during the month.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has reported a substantial growth in sales for February 2026, with domestic passenger vehicle volumes reaching 62,329 units -- a rise of 34 per cent compared with the 46,435 units sold in the same month a year earlier. International business sales also rose sharply, climbing 167 per cent year-on-year to reach 1,002 units, up from just 376 units in February 2025.
Combined, total sales for the month came to 63,331 units, representing overall year-on-year growth of 35 per cent against the 46,811 units recorded in February 2025.
Electric vehicle volumes proved a particular bright spot, with combined domestic and international EV sales reaching 8,385 units during the month -- a 57 per cent increase on the 5,343 units sold in February 2025. Sales were driven by models offered through the company's dedicated electric mobility subsidiary, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited.
Tata Motors PV has been steadily broadening its electric vehicle line-up as part of a wider push to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission mobility in the Indian passenger vehicle market, supported by connected technologies and next-generation vehicle platforms.
The results come after a significant structural change at the group level. In October 2025, Tata Motors separated into two distinct entities -- Tata Motors, which now houses the commercial vehicle business, and Tata Motors PV, which encompasses passenger vehicles including EVs as well as the luxury marque Jaguar Land Rover.
The passenger vehicle portfolio spans hatchbacks and SUVs, offered across both internal combustion engine and electric powertrains.
