Husqvarna makes subtle changes to the cafe racer to refresh it for 2024.
The 2024 Vitpilen 250 was recently launched by Husqvarna in India, alongside the Svartpilen 401.
The 2024 model features a wider fuel tank with extended shrouds and also has a raised handle bar leaving its cafe racer silhuette.
It has a more streamlined rear design and a broader front fender, enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and functional aspects of those parts.
It features a larger circular LED headlight and comes equipped with full-LED lighting throughout.
The motorcycle is equipped with traction control and Quickshifter+, made possible by the presence of a ride-by-wire throttle system.
This 250cc cafe racer is equipped with switchable rear ABS, providing riders with the flexibility to lock up the rear wheel and do some slides.
The inclusion of a Type-C charging port adds the convenience of on-the-go charging, allowing users to easily recharge their devices while riding. The Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 comes equipped with the identical instrument console found on the KTM 390 Duke but it is LCD. Bluetooth connectivity is an additional feature.
The bike is powered by the new 249 cc, liquid-cooled engine seen on the Duke 250, delivering 30.57 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 25 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The 2024 Vitpilen 250 features a steel trellis frame. Weighing 163.8 kg, it is lightweight, and this translates into agility.
Equipped with a 43 mm USD fork by WP, its non adjustable unlike its the Husky 401.
Braking is managed by a 320 mm front disc with pads, ensuring powerful and effective stopping. The rear braking system consists of a 240 mm disc.
The 2024 Vitpilen 250 has a higher ground clearance at 177 mm. The older model had a ground clearance of 152 mm.
It has a lower seat height of 820 mm, providing a comfortable and accessible riding position for a wide range of riders.
The Vitpilen 250 comes with a larger fuel tank capacity of 13.5 litres, offering a slightly extended riding range.
Priced at ₹ 2.19 lakh, ex-showroom, the Vitpilen 250 offers excellent value, being more budget-friendly than the KTM 250 Duke (₹ 2.39 lakh, ex-showroom).
