Hyundai Motor India is set to introduce the 2024 facelift of its 6/7-seater SUV, the Alcazar, in the Indian market on September 9. The refreshed Alcazar comes with significant interior and exterior upgrades aimed at enhancing its appeal in the competitive SUV segment. With the carmaker already opening bookings for the vehicle last week, we now know how the cabin will look in its refreshed avatar.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift showcases a refreshed cabin with a dual-tone Noble Brown and Haze Navy colour scheme. Hyundai has incorporated modern design elements similar to those found in the 2024 Creta facelift, including dual screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The SUV now comes equipped with a dual-zone automatic climate control system, while the air conditioning vents are seamlessly integrated into the horizontally oriented dashboard for a sleeker appearance.
Further elevating the cabin's premium feel is the quilted seat pattern. The addition of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) enhances safety and convenience. The 6-seater variant of the new Alcazar facelift comes with captain seats in the second row. The 7-seater variant, on the other hand, features a seat tumble mechanism, designed to improve ingress and egress to the third row while offering improved seat cushioning.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift sports a new front fascia featuring a dark chrome grille and newly designed quad-beam LED headlamps. The front is further accentuated by H-shaped LED DRLs, giving the SUV a more distinctive look. At the rear, the facelifted Alcazar gets connected LED taillamps, a revised tailgate design, and a new spoiler. Both the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, while the skid plates have also been updated for a more rugged appearance.
The 2024 Alcazar facelift boasts over 70 connected car features and more than 40 standard safety features, with a total of 70-plus safety features available. These include essentials like multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), and vehicle stability management (VSM), among others.
The updated Alcazar retains the powertrain options from the outgoing model. It offers a 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine that produces 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine delivers 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift will be available in four variants: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. Pricing for the outgoing model ranges between ₹16.77 lakh and ₹21.28 lakh (ex-showroom, India). However, with the updated features and design improvements, the price of the 2024 Alcazar is expected to be between ₹17 lakh and ₹23 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
