As part of the leadership transition, Vinod Aggarwal will step down from his current role to assume the position of Chairman of the Board at VECV.
VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV) has announced a key leadership transition, appointing B Srinivas as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2026. He will succeed Vinod Aggarwal, who will move into the role of Chairman of the Board. The changes mark a new phase for the commercial vehicle manufacturer as it looks to build on its existing growth strategy and strengthen its position in the Indian market.
Srinivas brings more than three decades of experience with the Eicher group and has held several leadership roles across strategy, sales, marketing and operations. Since 2024, he has served as Chief Operating Officer at VECV. Prior to that, he was Head of Product Strategy and Purchasing from 2022 to 2024, and earlier led the Eicher Bus business between 2018 and 2022.
His long association with the organisation and extensive understanding of the commercial vehicle industry are expected to play a key role as he takes charge of the company’s next growth phase.
Commenting on the appointment, Siddhartha Lal, Chairman of Eicher Motors Limited, said, “I am delighted with the appointment of B Srinivas as the new Managing Director and CEO of VECV. It strengthens our well calibrated, long-term strategy and continuity at VECV. I have personally worked with Srinivas for over twenty-five years and seen his hands-on and inclusive leadership style.”

As part of the leadership transition, Vinod Aggarwal will step down from his current role as Managing Director and CEO to assume the position of Chairman of the Board at VECV. He succeeds Sofia Frändberg, who completes her three-year term as Chairperson and nominee of AB Volvo. Frändberg will continue to serve on the company’s board.
Aggarwal has been associated with the Eicher Group for more than four decades and has led VECV for nearly 16 years. During his tenure, the company expanded its presence across segments and markets, while strengthening its product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities.
Alongside the leadership reshuffle, Rajinder Singh Sachdeva has been nominated to the VECV Board as a nominee of Eicher Motors Limited following his retirement as Deputy CEO and Chief Transformation Officer. He replaces Raul Rai, who steps down from the board after serving since the company’s inception.
Established in 2008, VECV is a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. The company manufactures and sells Eicher-branded trucks and buses, distributes Volvo Trucks in India, and serves as a global manufacturing hub for certain Volvo Group engines.
