Hyundai Motor India is readying its first launch for 2024, releasing exterior images of the 2024 Creta ahead of its launch on January 16. The Creta facelift uses Hyundai’s global design language ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ and can be seen with a more boxy-looking front-end along with several tech upgrades on the inside. The compact SUV rivals the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder.
With the facelift, the Creta facelift now features a squared-off grille with inserts similar to the Tucson facelift. The front bumper is new with a more prominent-looking faux skid plate. It retains the split-headlight design with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) spanning the SUV's width, along with two inverted L-shaped lighting signatures.
At the rear, the Creta facelift gets a full-width LED lightbar with the same inverted L-shaped lighting signatures as the front. The tailgate, spoiler and bumper have a new design with a more upright stance and the reverse light has been moved to the centre of the bumper, as seen in the sketches. While the profile of the Creta facelift is not visible in the sketches, it can be seen that the upcoming SUV will get a new alloy wheel design. However, there seem to be no major changes to the profile of the Creta facelift.
The Creta facelift gets a new dashboard with a twin-screen layout. It gets a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The Creta facelift will also get features like an 8-speaker Bose speaker system, an in-built JioSaavn app with a 1-year subscription, tyre pressure monitoring system, dual-zone climate control, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated seats and more.
Safety features on the Creta facelift include 19 ADAS features, six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor and Hyundai claims the body structure has been strengthened for better rigidity and safety.
The Creta facelift will continue with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo-petrol engine makes a comeback but this time, it’s the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that debuted on the Verna.
