Kia has not extensively altered the exterior of the 2024 Sonet. The silhouette of the sub-compact SUV continues to be the same as before, however, exterior design elements have been updated. These include a new headlight shape with a C-shaped LED light, the bumper (front and rear) and a new taillight with a connecting light bar are some of the changes that are instantly noticeable.
The interior sees some solid updates as well. The dashboard layout is sourced from the Kia Seltos. The Sonet gets the familiar 10.25-inch infotainment screen and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
Feature-wise, the Sonet now gains a 360-degree camera and 10 ADAS features, just like the Hyundai Venue facelift. Some of the ADAS functionalities include forward collision warning, forward collision avoidance assistance, leading vehicle departure warning and lane keep assist. In addition to that, there are also 70 connected car features and 25 safety features.
The 2024 Kia Sonet continues with the 118 bhp/ 172 Nm 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 82 bhp / 115 Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine and 114 bhp/ 250 Nm, 1.5-litre diesel engine options from before. In addition to that, there are now six transmission engine options - a 5-speed manual, iMT, 7-speed DCT, 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, and a 6-speed AT.
Bookings for the new Kia Sonet have already commenced at a token amount of ₹25,000. Deliveries will commence from January onwards, however, for those looking to buy the diesel variants, deliveries will commence from February onwards.
