The refreshed Magnite has been spied on numerous occasions.
Nissan India has officially announced the launch of the highly anticipated 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift, scheduled to debut on October 4, 2024. The Magnite, which first hit Indian roads in December 2020, has since emerged as a crucial model for the brand, ensuring Nissan’s steady presence in the competitive subcompact SUV segment.
The refreshed Magnite has been spied on numerous occasions, and early glimpses at the Bharat NCAP crash test facility revealed some of the design changes in the works. The front fascia will undergo subtle updates, with a revised grille and a tweaked bumper design to give the SUV a more contemporary look. Redesigned headlight housings will likely make its debut, but the signature L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) from the current model are expected to be carried over. The facelifted Magnite may sport a new set of alloy wheels while the rear end could feature redesigned LED tail lights.
Inside, the 2024 Magnite is expected to receive significant upgrades to improve overall appeal. One of the biggest anticipated updates could be ventilated front seats and the introduction of a single-pane sunroof, both of which are increasingly popular features in the subcompact SUV segment. A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment will likely be carried over from the Geza edition of the current Magnite. A 7-inch digital driver display is expected to remain a staple.
In line with growing expectations for improved safety, the Magnite facelift will likely have enhanced safety features such as six airbags, 360-degree camera, TPMS and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
Nissan will likely retain the current engine lineup for the facelifted Magnite, offering two powertrain options. A 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, available with a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 5-speed AMT unit. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol delivers 99 bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
