Besides that aesthetic update, the Avenis has mechanically remained the same.
Keeping its performance-oriented scooter relevant with time, Suzuki has launched the new 2024 Avenis 125 range with a bunch of new colour options. Four to be precise, namely, Gloss Sparkle Black with base Pearl Mira Red, Champion Yellow No 2 with base Glossy Sparkle Black, Glossy Sparkle Black & a Glossy Sparkle Black with base Pearl Glacier White colour. This update comes amidst news that the Japanese brand is gearing up to hit the electric scooter market soon, with a debut somewhere in early 2025.
Alongside these new colour options, the graphics has also been updated for a more aggressive appeal with a hint of playfulness. But beyond this visual upgrade, the 125 cc scooter has essentially remained the same. Mostly attaining to the philosophy, ‘If it's not broken, why fix it’.
As part of that, Avenis 125 continues with the same 124.4 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8.5 bhp and 10 Nm. A nice zippy scooter with a sporty ride quality, the Suzuki Avenis 125 also comes equipped with the relevant niceties like a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument console that gets you all the latest updates from call and SMS alerts to WhatsApp alerts via the Suzuki Ride Connect App.
The visual upgrade should further help improve Suzuki’s sales in the coming months. The brand reported a healthy 15 per cent Y-o-Y growth last financial year. This growth was primarily driven by the Access 125, on which the Avenis is based.
Suzuki didn’t mention anything about a price hike in the press release with the addition of these new colour options. The Suzuki Avenis was priced at ₹92,000 for the standard variant, while the Race Edition would set you back by ₹92,800 (both ex-showroom prices). If it stays at this price range the 2025 Avenis 125 would stick to its affordability factor. Yet it’s not without competition for its biggest rival, the TVS Ntorq 125 starts from ₹84,636 and is spread across six variants with the top XT trim priced at ₹1.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
