The Triumph Speed 400 has received a bunch of updates.
Apart from launching the Triumph Speed T4, the most affordable bike in the British brand’s product portfolio in our country, it also introduced the new Speed 400. The new Triumph Speed 400 gets a bunch of new additions and this has come at a price hike too. The 2024 Triumph Speed 400 now retails at ₹2.40 lakh (ex-showroom), an increase of ₹6,000 compared to the older bike. Let’s check out what’s new on the 2024 Speed 400.
The Triumph Speed 400 came shod with Apollo Alpha H1 which in our opinion is among the best tyres in its segment. However as part of the update, the new Speed 400 now comes fitted with Vredestein Centuro tyres which, going by our past experience, offers superior grip and thereby should also help improve the handling dynamics of the Triumph roadster.

An useful addition is the inclusion of adjustable clutch and brake levers on the new Speed 400. The above update will help in improving rider comfort, but a word of caution, adjustable levers are more expensive to replace than standard levers.

One of the criticisms that the Triumph Speed 400 received during the launch was that the proportion of the bike was a bit too small. Triumph hasn’t bulked-up the Speed 400, but they have offered the new bike in a more colourful avatar. It’s now available in the following colour options - Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Racing Red. Another noticeable difference is the exhaust pipe and muffler have received a matte black finish.
